Durga Homam is a powerful fire ritual dedicated to Goddess Durga, the supreme embodiment of Shakti (divine energy) and the mother of the universe. In Sanskrit, 'Durga' means 'invincible' or 'impassable,' and she is revered as 'Durgati Nashini,' the remover of suffering and misfortune. This Homam is performed to invoke her fierce yet protective form to eliminate negative energies, evil eyes (Drishti), and obstacles hindering one's progress. It is deeply rooted in the Markandeya Purana and the Durga Saptashati. The ritual involves the invocation of Lord Ganesha, Kalash Sthapana, and the chanting of powerful mantras like the Durga Suktam and Chandi Path while offering oblations into the sacred fire. It is typically performed during Navratri, on Fridays, Ashtami Tithi, or when an individual faces severe hurdles, legal disputes, or fear. By performing this Homam, devotees gain courage, mental peace, protection from enemies, and victory in their endeavors.

To worship the Navagraha, first invoke the planets. After that install them. Then while chanting mantras by taking Akshat in his left hand, offering Akshat with the right hand, the planets are invoked. In this way all the planets are invoked and established. After that, take Akshat in hand and chant the mantra and offer it for prestige in Navagraha Mandal. Now worship the nine planets while chanting mantras. Keep in mind that the worship method should be done by a learned Brahmin only.
